The Senior High Fellowship group will be heading north to Maine for a canoe trip overnight in preparation for this summer’s Allagash canoe trip (which departs on June 23rd)!
The group will meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. to load up personal gear and get on the road to Brownfield, Maine, where everyone will stay at the home of Joe Boccia (one of the advisors for the group). Youth should bring money for dinner on the way up.
On Saturday, the group will be canoeing on the Saco River. Participants should make sure to bring a pillow, sleeping bag and/or blankets, pajamas, toiletries, a snack to share, sunscreen, sunglasses and/or hat, 1 or 2 water bottles, and clothes to be outside (if it is really pouring the group will not canoe but, otherwise, please dress for the weather INCLUDING for light rain).
The group will return home on Saturday evening.
The cost for the overnight is $25/person, which covers all food once in Maine, as well as transportation. Please speak to Rev. Julie Flowers if cost is an issue, as financial assistance is available.
