April 9, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on April 9, 2017 at 6:30 pm

All are welcome to join the Sunday Morning Bible Study Class (which has been studying Islam through their Lenten learning series, The Jesus Fatwah) at 9:30 a.m. on April 9 as they welcome Imam Sami Abdul Aziz and his partner and wife, Vjosa Qerimi-Aziz.  The couple joins us from Common Ground Services, an organization dedicated to providing platforms for people to know, understand, and communicate with Muslims.  Founder and leader of the non-profit organization Imam Aziz is an Indian-born Muslim who has lived in the United States since he was two years old. Along with his work at Common Ground Services, he serves as a Chaplain at Wesleyan University.  Vjosa Qerimi-Aziz is a Kosovo native.
In addition to the Sunday morning class we invite the congregation, the senior high fellowship and anyone in the community who is interested in learning more about Islam, the role of women in Islam, and how to be an ally to come and enjoy a presentation and conversation with Imam Sami Aziz and Vjosa Qerimi-Aziz at 6:30 p.m. in our Sanctuary.  We warmly welcome you, your family and friends, and the wider community!
