Weekend Update!

Happy almost-long-weekend, everyone! A few reminders/invitations for joining us this weekend/any time!
Our Senior High Youth Fellowship will be departing this evening for their annual Fall Retreat at Camp Sentinel in Tuftonboro, NH! Youth should meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. to depart. The group will return mid-day on Monday, October 10th!
On Sunday, October 9th, there will be regular Adult Education classes at 9:30 a.m., with childcare provided during that time.
We will worship at 11:00 a.m., in the sanctuary, and we will be continuing our sermon series “On This I Stand,” on Baptist distinctives. This week, Rev. Kent Harrop will preach on the firm Baptist belief of a free church in a free state (separation of church and state). Our sanctuary vocal choir will be singing, and there will be wondering congregational hymns to be sung!
***THIS SUNDAY, DUE TO THE LONG WEEKEND, there is NOT regular Multiage Children’s Class sessions HOWEVER there IS CHILDCARE for all children through Grade 1… older children are encouraged to join us in worship and are invited to make use of the Children’s Bookshelf at the rear of the sanctuary at any point during the service, if they wish!***
CHILDREN/YOUTH CHOIR WILL REHEARSE AS USUAL FOLLOWING THE SERVICE (around 12:15 p.m.). Children and Youth should report to the Music Room with Esther following worship. There will be nut-free snacks provided. THE GROUP WILL BE PRACTICING FOR SINGING IN WORSHIP IN A SPECIAL SERVICE ON OCTOBER 16TH SO WE ENCOURAGE ALL CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHO ARE IN TOWN TO PLEASE COME AND SING!
Middle School Fellowship will meet Sunday at 4, as usual – they will meet at the church, 221 Cabot Street! All youth from the community are welcome!
