Contemplative Paddle Around Misery Island

September 28, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join First Baptist Church in Beverly for a guided kayak trip around beautiful Misery Island. Rev. Kent Harrop will provide the program, while the guiding and rentals will be provided by the staff of Coast to Coast Paddle. We will meet at the West Beach Parking lot (in Beverly Farms). Misery Island (45 acre island owned by the Trustees for Reservations) is a half mile off shore. Under the professional guidance of Coast to Coast, we will navigate the circumference of the island. We will stop half way (on the far side of the island) for a meditative walk on a wide, wild and breathtaking beach. This is a wonderful opportunity to paddle and explore an island that few get to see. Reservations may be made with Coast to Coast Paddle linked in this post. The prices quoted are discounted by First Baptist. These slots are limited to the first ten people who sign up. (You can rent a kayak, single or tandem or, bring your own.)
Participants should have a moderate amount of experience in a kayak. The trip will be held on a weather-permitting basis. Please speak with Kent Harrop if you have any questions: kharrop@fbcbeverly.org
