May 24: Healing The World

July 12, 2016

First Baptist Church in Beverly stands with our sisters and brothers of the congregation of Temple B’nai Abraham. The kind of prejudice and hate shown in the vandalism of this community’s sacred space is unacceptable, and we condemn such actions. We offer our hope and prayers for the continued growth and healing of our wider community, for the strength and healing of the family at TBA, and for our work- all of us together – to overcome and speak against these kinds of small-minded actions that do not represent the loving reign of God.

Let us join together with all our sisters and brothers in the work of tikkun olam- the work of being God’s partners in healing the world.

Let us join together as a wider community to support Temple B’nai Abraham at this difficult time.

Let us pray and actively work for a better and more loving and more welcoming and more tolerant and more peaceful tomorrow.

To our friends at Temple B’nai Abraham: we are so sorry. We are standing with you now and always. We pledge our support and passion and energy to speak out against these kinds of actions and to help to build a better and more loving world, together.
