Youth Fellowship

Middle School Fellowship meets weekly on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Senior High Fellowship meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM.

The participants in these groups come from church families and the larger community, and all are welcome regardless of faith background.

The extensive programs of these fellowships range from a fourteen-day Allagash Wilderness Waterway canoe trip (a four decade tradition), retreats to camps and conference centers, occasional dramatic and musical productions, serious study and programs on issues of concern to young people, community service, and many less serious activities (like laser tag, scavenger hunts, and ice cream crawls!)

The First Baptist Church in Beverly has a long-standing commitment to youth. A significant portion of the church resources are used for youth activities and many staff hours are spent with young people. FBC’s gym is used by a large number of community groups, such as pick-up basketball games.

***IN ALL CASES, MIDDLE SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP IS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY! Please invite friends and spread the word! Also – we always have financial assistance for any program available as needed. We never want any interested young person to miss a program due to cost. Please always just come and let Julie or an advisor know if we can help with cost!

Upcoming Activities and Events for Middle School Fellowship (all events take place from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted):

Check back here for updates on Middle School Fellowship activity schedule throughout the year!

December 1st – Holiday Parade

11:30 a.m. (meet at the church) – 3:30 p.m. (or so)
We will be walking in the Beverly Holiday Parade collecting food donations from those along the route to go to Beverly Bootstraps – so we will need as much help as possible to do that well! You can come dressed in your fun and festive attire, ready to push a shopping cart and collect that food! Friends are welcome! We will return to the church for pick-up after we have finished the parade and delivered the food to Bootstraps (usually between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m.)!

December 8th – Holiday Shopping for Those in Need

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
We will be meeting at the church at 4 p.m. to then head out and do some shopping for gifts for kids whose families might welcome a little extra support this holiday season. Please come ready to shop for gifts for others – bring $5 to donate to the cause if you can! We will return to the church for pick-up at 6 p.m.

December 15th – Holiday Movie!

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
We will be getting in the spirit with a fun and festive movie of the season! Bring a favorite holiday snack to share!

December 22nd – Christmas Party!

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Once again, we are looking for a family who might be willing to host our Fellowship Family Christmas Party – let Julie know ASAP if that family might be yours! Then, come with a snack to share and a small, silly wrapped gift for the present pass ($5 or less in value)! Happy Holidays!

December 24th – Christmas Eve

5:00 p.m. Service Planned with the Enthusiasm of Children in Mind
11:00 p.m. Service of Lessons and Carols
You and your families are warmly invited to join us for one or both of our Christmas Eve services. Both end with candlelight and the singing of Silent Night! The 5:00 p.m. service has more movement and participatory moments woven throughout to account for the excitement and energy of children on this special night, while the 11:00 is a candlelit service of the stories and songs of Christmas. Please join us!

December 29th – No Fellowships – Happy New Year

Friends are ALWAYS welcome to any program, at any time! The more, the merrier!

** With ANY of our programs, we never want cost to be an obstacle to youth being able to attend. If money is an issue, please just speak to Julie Flowers or any one of the advisors, and we will make sure that youth can attend and expenses are covered. We want all youth who are interested to be able to come and enjoy Fellowship – so please let us know how we can help make that happen!***
