Youth Fellowship

MS bowling

Middle School Fellowship meets weekly on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Senior High Fellowship meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM.

The participants in these groups come from church families and the larger community, and all are welcome regardless of faith background.

The extensive programs of these fellowships range from a fourteen-day Allagash Wilderness Waterway canoe trip (a four decade tradition), retreats to camps and conference centers, occasional dramatic and musical productions, serious study and programs on issues of concern to young people, community service, and many less serious activities (like laser tag, scavenger hunts, and ice cream crawls!)

The First Baptist Church in Beverly has a long-standing commitment to youth. A significant portion of the church resources are used for youth activities and many staff hours are spent with young people. FBC’s gym is used by a large number of community groups, such as pick-up basketball games.

***IN ALL CASES, MIDDLE SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP IS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY! Please invite friends and spread the word! Also – we always have financial assistance for any program available as needed. We never want any interested young person to miss a program due to cost. Please always just come and let Julie or an advisor know if we can help with cost!

Upcoming Events for Middle School Fellowship (all events take place from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted):

March 31st Middle School Fellowship: Sky Zone!

Special Earlier Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Our Middle School group will meet at the church at a slightly earlier time (3:30 p.m.) to ensure we can get to Sky Zone in Danvers in time for our planned hour of jumping and playing on the trampolines! The cost will be $15/jumper (although, as always, we can and will provide assistance as needed – we never want youth to miss any activity due to cost!), and we will return to the church for pick-up at 6 p.m.! THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT SKY ZONE MUST HAVE AN ELECTRONIC WAIVER ON FILE FOR ALL JUMPERS! Parents/guardians can go to Sky Zone Danvers‘ website to fill out a waiver. If your Middle Schooler has been to Sky Zone within the past year, they may already have an active waiver on file, but we recommend double checking, to ensure they are registered and ready to jump.

**With ANY of our programs, we never want cost to be an obstacle to youth being able to attend. If money is an issue, please just speak to Julie Flowers or any one of the advisors, and we will make sure that youth can attend and expenses are covered. We want all youth who are interested to be able to come and enjoy Fellowship – so please let us know how we can help make that happen!***

Upcoming events for Senior High Fellowship (all events take place from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted):

March 31st Senior High Fellowship: Bring Your Pet!

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The group asked for this program, and we are giving it a try! Youth and advisors who have signed up in advance (so that we can plan what rooms are needed for which pets!) can bring along a furry (or otherwise, in the case of some possible pets like turtles!) friend to Fellowship this Sunday, and we will have a chance to meet one another’s animals friends and hang out. If you have not yet signed up to bring a pet BUT WOULD LIKE TO, please email Julie as soon as possible to let her know what type of pet you are hoping to bring, what kind of personality your pet has, and how it does with other animals/people. We are asking that youth please be thoughtful about their animal’s limitations – if your animal is not always sociable/calm with strangers or new creatures, this may not be the best time for us to meet him or her! Dinner will be served (for the humans!), as well!
