Youth Fellowship

MS bowling

Middle School Fellowship meets weekly on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-6:00 PM. Senior High Fellowship meets weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM. The participants in these groups come from church families and the larger community, and all are welcome regardless of faith background.

The extensive programs of these fellowships range from a fourteen-day Allagash Wilderness Waterway canoe trip (a four decade tradition), retreats to camps and conference centers, occasional dramatic and musical productions, serious study and programs on issues of concern to young people, community service, and many less serious activities (like laser tag, scavenger hunts, and ice cream crawls!)

The First Baptist Church in Beverly has a long-standing commitment to youth. A significant portion of the church resources are used for youth activities and many staff hours are spent with young people. FBC’s gym is used by a large number of community groups, such as pick-up basketball games.

Upcoming Events for Middle School Fellowship (all events from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted):

Sept 17: Breakfast preparation for Rally Day (8:30 a.m.) And later that afternoon: First meeting!

Time to lend a hand preparing and then enjoying breakfast for our church family at Rally Day…and then, in the afternoon at 4:00 p.m. we will gather in the Youth Lounge to have some Middle School only time – getting our year going with our covenant and with fun games! Please arrive at 8:30 a.m. to help us cook and prepare breakfast, and then invite your families to come and eat at 9:15 a.m.! The Senior High will take over for us on cleaning duty after we are done serving! There will be lots of fun and games and celebration throughout the morning, too – and then stay for worship at 11:00 a.m. if you want! This is a great way to kick off our Fellowship year!

Sept 24: Connor’s Farm

We will meet at the church at 2:45 p.m. to head to Connors’ Farm in Danvers for an afternoon of fun, games, corn mazes, food, and more! Connors Farm has generously offered to donate the bracelets needed for admission to the Farm – so you only need to bring money with you if you would like food or to do anything extra (apple picking, etc). $10-$20 should be plenty, depending on how much you want to eat! Please bring your signed permission form, as well – 2 are included with this mailing so that you can invite a friend!
