Information about the bands scheduled to perform:

The headliner for North Shore Shelter Fest is the Evan Goodrow Band:http://www.evangoodrow.com/. Evan Goodrow is a singer-songwriter-guitarist who performs locally, nationally and internationally. He has released 11 studio albums and 3 live albums of soul, funk, blues, rock, and R&B. A Boston native, Goodrow got his start playing jazz guitar and singing acoustic folk music in coffee houses, more than a decade ago.

Consistently an independent artist, he has a diverse musical history that includes winning the Boston Blues Award, playing funk concerts for U.S. Marines on NATO bases in Europe and even jamming with Jimmy Buffet in the Caribbean. Goodrow has played multiple shows with B.B. King–and even sang for the Yardbirds. His band’s FB page:https://www.facebook.com/evangoodrowband “I look forward to playing and supporting this event,” says Goodrow, “and I am happy to be helping out with this good cause.”

North Shore Shelterfest will feature a day of musical entertainment from local and regional artists, including solo acoustic performers and some of the North Shore’s favorite bands. Among them: Beverly based Dreamtigers https://dreamtigers.bandcamp.com/ who offer a creative blend of indie rock from their 2014 album “Wishing Well” and other original material.

The Tree House Charlatans, an eclectic Gloucester-based band that features traditional instruments, a musical saw and a didgeridoo—described by band founder Matt Natti as his “Australian kazoo”—among some of the more unusual instruments onstage. “It’s the instrument which brought us all together,” says Natti, who established the band as a collection of local artists and performers, more than a decade ago. Their music ranges from eclectic, world/ jazz to sing along folk/ rock, and bluegrass: http://www.treehousecharlatans.com/

Hailing from nearby Boxford and Ipswich, The Band Next Door will deliver a fun set of rock and soul. Since 2010, the four-piece has played places like The Grog in Newburyport, The Topsfield Fair, Boxford Apple Festival, The Foundation Room at The House of Blues in Boston, Yankee Homecoming in Newburyport, and other events and venues across the region: https://www.facebook.com/TBND978/

The popular North Shore band Sweet Escape brings their mix of originals and covers that blend the essence of classic-rock favorites with inspiration from some of America’s finest woman-fronted country rock and straight-ahead guitar-driven sounds: https://www.sweetescapeband.com/

Liberte is a singer songwriter from Massachusetts whose music spans from Americana to Alternative. https://www.facebook.com/liberteiam/

The day’s performances will also include a set from local music talent Sarah Schuyler and violinist, vocalist and songwriter Aisha Burns (http://aishaburns.com/), both of whom are excited to share their songs with those attending the music festival to benefit Harborlight Community Partners, North Shore’s largest affordable housing provider and advocate.
