Adult Classes
Faith is a journey, not a destination. At First Baptist, a commitment to adult education encourages adults to continue to work on their faith, to question, to wonder, and to make connections. New members are always welcome in our adult classes, at any point in the year. Unless otherwise noted, classes meet at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
Sunday Morning Classes
Adult Bible Study - This class meets in the Mary Kuell room and enjoys lively discussions while studying a variety of texts, both biblical and academic. If you are looking for interesting study and discussion that can lead to new insight, then this is the class for you.
Mae Patten Class - This class meets in the lounge behind the sanctuary to study the Scripture and apply it to their lives. This group of women has met together for many years and loves the addition of new members.
Faith Journey - This class explores the relationship of individual father to daily life by looking at some of the more difficult issues we face. The class meets in Meeting Room B, upstairs.
People of the Book - This class explores biblical readings as well as books on faith as a basis for discussion. The class meets in Meeting Room A.
Other Opportunities
Bible Study 101 - This class is for anyone new to the study of scripture. The class meets every other Tuesday night in the Mary Kuell Room at 6:30 p.m.
Book Group- This class meets monthly on the third Friday of the month to discuss a book that the participants have selected and read. For more information, see the current events.
Spiritual Formation Group - Throughout the year, look for special classes and sessions that will focus on our lives as spiritual people and being connected to our God. An eight week series on Forgiveness began on September 19, 2007.
